Sure, it won’t have quite as much grip as a Road Legal track tyre but in terms of mileage, you’ll get better value for money out of this than a Hypersports tyre. We’d go for a Sports or Sports Touring tyre as it’ll have a fast warm-up, long life and plenty of grip. I’m a fast road rider and I might do one trackday a year.
